Arrangement for Ramnavami, 2013 at Mahavir Mandir, Patna
The festival of Shri Ramnavmi is celebrated on the auspicious occasion of the birth of Lord Shri Ram. After Hanuman Gadhi at Ayodhya, on the Rama-navami day in Mahavir Mandir Patna the number of the devotees comes around 4-5 lakhs. This year Ramnavami will be celebrated in Mahavir Mandir on Friday 19th April, 2013. Like previous years an unprecedented crowd is expected, therefore, many special arrangements have been made.
The temple will be opened at 02.00 A.M. and will remain open till 12.00 midnight.
Those who will carry 'Prasad' (laddoos etc.) and garlands will have to come in queue from north gate and those who come for mere 'darshan' of the deity will just walk in the temple in queue but after 5.00 A.M. from the eastern gate, so that there is more concentration on the devotees with prasad, who stand in queue for hours.
Like every year this year, too, the Mandir Management has made elaborate arrangements for providing shades for protection from heat from the temple north gate to the G.P.O. Thereafter the queue will go towards R. Block.
There will be 10 C.C.T.Vs. and projectors in the pandal, so that the devotees in the queue will have the darshan of the deity and will see the pace of offerings in the temple
There will be adequate arrangement for 'sharbat' and water. Two first aid centres and ambulances will be available for providing medical help in any un-foreseen case of eventuality.
For those who want to come out after of the "darsan" of Hanumanji only, the exit will be the eastern gate and for others it will be in the south towards railway station.
The temple will deploy its own volunteers and security personnel in large number for regulating and guiding devotees. In addition, there will be deployment of local police.
For expeditious offering of the 'prasad' in the temple eight additional priests have come from Ayodhya and at least four priests will always be available in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple all the time.
There will be no counter for "Naivedyam" inside the temple premises till 4:00 P.M. All 8 counters will be outside the temple premises.
Janmotsava (birth- celebration) of Lord Ram will be celebrated at 12.20 noon and the Mahaviri flags will be changed and 'arati' will be performed at the time.
The nine-day recital (navah -path) will end and havan will be performed on 19th April, 2013 after ‘Arati’.
For convenience of devotees 8 extra priests have been requisition from Ayodhya. 4 priests at a time attend the devotees for offering Prasad.
There will be adequate arrangement for the convenience of the devotees. However the temple management makes an appeal to devotees to extend all co-operations to the Temple Management for smooth and peaceful conclusion of this pious celebration.
